I heard lavender is toxic to pets. Is this product safe?
Some internet sites state that the linalool contained in lavender, if ingested in large amounts can be toxic to pets. However, according to CBDDogHealth, extensive studies have shown that lavender is safe for all species. The site further clarifies that most reports of adverse reactions are due to synthetic or adulterated oils. This is why our product is made with pure Angustifolia lavender oil. Angustifolia lavender is called 'true' lavender and has the most gentle compounds amongst the lavender varieties.
As with any new product, we recommend that you test a small amount on your pet's coat. Animals, like people, respond differently to ingredients based on their individual biology and sensitivities.
