Lavender Lemonade
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
- 2 cups boiling water (for steeping)
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and lavender sprigs (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Combine sugar and lavender in a bowl. Pour boiling water over them and stir until sugar dissolves. Let it steep for about 20 minutes.
- Strain the mixture, discarding the lavender. Add lemon juice and cold water.
- Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and lavender sprigs.
Lavender Honey Glazed Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons dried culinary lavender (recommend you grind the lavender)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions:
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet and cook chicken until golden.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, lavender, soy sauce, and garlic. Pour over chicken. If you can grind, or mash lavender in a morter.
- Cook until chicken is glazed and thoroughly cooked. Serve garnished with lavender sprigs.
Lavender and Almond Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup ground almonds
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, almonds, lavender, and vanilla. For the best culinary experience, we recommend grinding or mashing your lavender before mixing in.
- Roll dough, cut into shapes, and place on a baking sheet. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
