How long will the scent last?

Lavender buds can retain their scent for a long time, often for several months to years, depending on the storage and usage conditions. However, the intensity of the scent may diminish over time. Factors that affect the longevity of the scent include:

1. Quality of the Buds: High-quality, freshly harvested lavender buds tend to have a more potent aroma and will retain their scent longer than older or lower-quality buds. This is why we take care in our harvesting and drying processes to ensure the best quality.
2. Storage Conditions: Keeping lavender buds in a cool, dark, and dry place can help prolong their fragrance. Exposure to direct sunlight, heat, or moisture can cause the buds to lose their scent more quickly. If you have a very sunny window, you may not want to place your gnome on it.
3. Usage: Squeezing the buds helps release the essential oils and refresh the scent. So the more you use your gnome for aromatherapy the faster the buds will lose their scent. We recommend pairing your gnome with a lavender sachet that can be easily refilled.
